Albania Becomes First Country to Approve Event Testing
In the wake of the ever-changing COVID world, Albania has become the first country to approve rapid testing for events. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism & Environment, Albania will offer test results in 10-15 minutes upon arrival at events. This, in combination with available vaccines, ushers in the Unum Festival to be held in 2021.
Returning to the beaches & forests of Shenghin on the Albanian Riviera in Lezha, Unum Festival features an open-air concept and an intimate crowd. Making its debut last year, Unum welcomed Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, Margaret Dygas and many more of the world's finest acts. Taking pride on a low ticket price, Unum has already garnered respect and admiration of those able to attend last year's festival.
With its open-air concept, rapid testing, a limited crowd of 10,000 and being held in June should add up to a unique experience if all goes according to plan. With any luck, Unum could possibly set the standard for festivals moving forward in the years to come. "Unum" also means "one" in Latin as unity and connectivity will definitely be on full display come next summer.
This year sees Seth Troxler, CAP, Digby, Franco Cinelli, John Dimas, Priku, tINI, Gemza and others to bring back the good vibes, bright smiles and thumping beats. Locally there are a plethora of farm-to-table options as well as plenty of nooks and crannies to discover in the surrounding area, so plan accordingly if you're craving a couple days of exploration outside of the festival.
We can only hope things go smoothly this year with the current state of things and with any luck we hope to see you all on dance floors soon enough.
